India
Our subsidiary in Pune, India, has highly modern and energy-efficient test rigs and test facilities which are used to test, inter alia, mechanical seals under diverse conditions. The currently eight dynamic test rigs are operated with different media, e.g. water, alkaline solutions, hot and cold mineral oils, diesel and thermal liquids. On a special test rig, seals are exposed to different climatic conditions and strongly fluctuating ambient temperatures are simulated.
EagleBurgmann India has four API 682 acceptance test rigs, one test facility for agitator seals, and a facility for testing boiler feed pump seals for high-speed applications. In addition they test Dry Gas Seals and seals for media containing solids here as well. Further test rigs enable variable frequency drives (VFD) for slow speeds (e.g. for agitator seals), and high speeds (e.g. for DGS tests). Pune also performs customer acceptance tests.
