Award for commitment to environmental protection

EagleBurgmann honored in Munich as one of the pioneers of the Environmental Pact for Bavaria REGIONAL

At a ceremony this morning in the Munich Residenz palace's Allerheiligen-Hofkirche (Court Church of All Saints), companies were awarded for their long years of commitment within the framework of the Environmental Pact for Bavaria. Wolfratshausen-based EagleBurgmann Germany was among those companies. The Bavarian State Minister for Health and Environment, Dr. Markus Söder, honored EagleBurgmann for its exemplary commitment since signing the pact in October 1995. As a "member of the Environmental Pact for Bavaria from the very start", the seal manufacturer headquartered in Wolfratshausen has, together with other leading representatives of the Bavarian economy, has set itself the particular goal of ensuring the broad-scale implementation of the concept of cooperative environmental protection and making it known at the regional and local levels. The Environmental Pact unites economic success with sustainable protection of the environment and climate. "Bavaria owes its ability to meet the challenges of the future to the innovative powers and know-how of Bavarian entrepreneurs", said Dr. Söder.

Building on the powers of initiative and the experience of the companies involved, the Environmental Pact has been committed since it was first signed to custom-tailored and efficient strategies aimed in particular at improving corporate environmental protection. EagleBurgmann too voluntarily committed itself to added, and above all measurable, environmental actions which go beyond the legal requirements.
